ONTARIO, CA (November 14, 2003) - The Ontario Convention Center opens it doors November 22-23 for the 2003 Off-Road Sand and Speed Expo, sponsored by the Outdoor Sports World. If you're looking for an all-terrain vehicle of any kind, you'll find it here at the Convention Center.

"We're pleased to feature the extreme cycle show this weekend," said Nicholas Bartlett, promoter of the event. "And the Sand Addiction magazine's cover girl contest will be sure to draw lots of attention."

Some of the hottest new products will be featured such as the world's only motorcycle for the water, the Jetbike. Other brands at the show include Quicksand™, Amplified™, Wicked™, Sand Toys™ and more. So if you're looking to experience some of the hottest deals in four-wheel drive trucks and bikes, the Ontario Convention Center is the place to be the weekend of Nov. 22 - 23.
Many off-road enthusiasts knew 17 year-old Costa Mesa resident Matthew Ramirez who lost his life in a dune buggy accident in Glamis, near the Mexican border during Halloween weekend. Matthew and his father had been interested in off-road sports for more than 12 years together, going to Glamis several times a year with thousands of other off-road enthusiasts. Outdoor Sports World has generously decided to raise money to assist with the cost of Matthew's funeral and potentially create a memorial for Matthew. At 4 p.m. on Sunday, Outdoor Sports World will conduct a raffle for this purpose.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $3 each, and prizes available include a mini-Harley bike, a mini-moto scooter, six collector's edition Baja mini-trucks, vacations to Desert Hot Springs and lots of t-shirts. It is the hope that the raffle will raise money for the Ramirez family, and also some awareness for safety issues associated with off-roading and extreme sports activities.
