ONTARIO, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2004) – Job-seekers will gather on Thursday, December 9 for HireQuest's regional career fair at the Ontario Convention Center. Top companies throughout the Southern California area are scheduled to be at the event including AAA, American Express, Cingular Wireless, Farmer's Insurance, Pepsi Bottling Company and University of Phoenix, among others.
"HireQuest continues to provide quality events with a great turnout of top-notch companies," said Amita Patel, director of sales and marketing for the OCVB. According to Patel, hundreds of job-seekers will be in attendance that day. Professional attire and resumes are recommended.
As of August 2004, the Inland Empire has created 23,500 jobs, a 2.1 percent increase from the same period last year, according to regional economist John Husing. Husing, in his latest Inland Empire Quarterly Economic Report, said the figures show the Inland Empire had the largest gains in employment in Southern California.
