Ontario to Receive $350,627 in Economic Impact for Luso-American Fraternal Federation Convention

ONTARIO, Calif., August 10, 2005 – As the Ontario Convention Center opens its doors for the Luso-American Fraternal Federation (LAFF) annual convention, local hotels and businesses welcome the diverse and unique business opportunities provided by the Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The convention, slated for August 10 through August 16, will provide an economic impact of $350,627 and bring in more than 2,000 members of the Portuguese-American fraternal benefit society.

"Members of the Luso-American Fraternal Federation are visiting from various parts of the nation," stated Amita Patel, director of sales and marketing for OCVB. "The organization has already booked more than 1,125 room nights and we're happy to accommodate their needs while they visit Ontario."
