COPSWest Tradeshow Returns to Ontario Convention Center
"As the population of Southern California increases, it is imperative members of law enforcement have the tools they need to stay on the cutting edge," said Bob Brown, executive director and general manager for OCVB. "We look forward to welcoming the California Peace Officers' Association and the COPSWestTM tradeshow for the sixth year."
The event is expected to have an economic impact of $339,969.00.
The tradeshow, an exclusive for direct employees of public safety agencies, city departments and county departments, will feature seminars discussing suicide bombers, large vehicle bombs and Al Qaeda tactics, forensic science and the future of law enforcement vehicles. Gordon Graham will also present "Preventing the Predictable: The Management of External and Internal Organizational Risks," a special seminar scheduled for the Ontario Airport DoubleTree Hotel.
Following the tradeshow, law enforcement officials may visit the Pomona Fairplex on Thursday, October 13 for Los Angeles County Vehicle Test Day. There, Daimler Chrysler will present its new Charger and Magnum, Ford will showcase its trusted Crown Victoria and General Motors will hit the pavement with its Impala and Tahoe.
COPSWestTM will be held Tuesday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 12 at the Ontario Convention Center from 7:00-5:00 p.m. and 8:00-4:00 p.m., respectively. Registration fees for the two-day event are $15, which includes a 5:00-8:00 p.m. cocktail reception at the DoubleTree Hotel. On Thursday, October 13, Los Angeles County Vehicle Test Day will be held from 7:00-4:00 p.m. at the Pomona Fairplex. Test Day admission is free.
