The Big Train Show Rolls into Ontario
G-gauge trains are twice the size of a Lionel train and can be built right in your backyard. The Big Train Show will kick off the weekend with private home bus tours May 31 and June 1 visiting homes in San Diego, Riverside, Fontana, Upland and Los Angeles that boast intricate landscaping for these trains.
"The Big Train Show has had an amazing following in their 17 year history and we are proud to host them for the first time in Ontario," said Bob Brown, president and CEO of the Ontario CVB. "We see this as an opportunity to welcome people to the Inland Empire and the city of Ontario that may not have previously spent time here; this is great for our airport, hotels and restaurants."
The Big Train Show is open to the public Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday mornings kick off with how-to clinics that begin at 7:45 a.m. and most are free. Tickets at the door are $12 for one day and $22 for a two-day pass. Kids 11 and under are free. For more information, please visit www.bigtrainshow.com.
