INLAND EMPIRE AUTO SHOW POSTPONES 2009 SHOW

IN EFFORT TO SUPPORT AUTOMAKERS AND CONSUMERS

-- With The Auto Industry Reeling From A Struggling Global Economy, The IEAS Is Moving Their April Show Dates --

ONTARIO, Calif., (March 19, 2009) - The 2009 Inland Empire Auto Show (IEAS), San Bernardino and Riverside Counties' top destination location for auto enthusiasts, has announced the 2009 IEAS is being postponed. Based on the current economic situation facing automakers, the IEAS has decided to move its 2009 date. This new direction will help the struggling auto industry save as they continue to receive support from the federal government. The IEAS felt it is in the best interest of taxpayers and in support of the auto manufacturers to move the date of the 2009 auto show.

"We recognize the importance of saving money and helping the automakers get back on their feet by moving our dates and allowing them to recover from the current economic situation," said Michael Caudill, spokesperson for the Inland Empire Auto Show. "We want consumers to be excited about our show and with the state of the economy it just doesn't make sense to hold the show in April."

General Motors and Lincoln, among other OE brands, were huge supporters of the IE Auto Show and were set to participate again in this years show. A few of the other top automotive manufacturers pulled out at the last minute and this forced the auto show management team to make this difficult decision.

"General Motors and its entire family of brands have always been extremely supportive of the Inland Empire Auto Show. The Inland Empire is one of the largest growing automotive markets in the country and we are very saddened to see the postponement of the show," said Scott Settlemire, manager, Shows & Exhibits, General Motors. "We are all in this together and to hear that a few OEMs pulled out is very disheartening. This is the time to show the industry support and we are standing behind the Inland Empire Auto Show and wish them a quick return."

The IEAS was scheduled for April 24 - 26, 2009 at the Ontario Convention Center. Show management has not yet decided on a new date for the show, but there have been discussions about moving the show to Fall 2009. The IEAS will continue to gauge its direction on the automaker's response to the federal bailout.
