Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau rolled out a customizable event marketing program to assist
meeting and event planners market their events more effectively, while also
maximizing their budgets. With
customization, affordability and ROI in mind, meeting planners can choose from a
12-item a la carte menu of marketing tactics to customize any event marketing
program to fit their needs.

The "Event Marketing Program" is available to all event and meeting
planners who work directly with the Bureau and the Ontario Convention Center.
The program offers a customizable, a la carte selection of the following

Event Promotion:
OCC will start promoting the event one year in advance, and provide
complimentary Ontario Visitors Guides and "Attendance Builder Flyers."
Public relations services to generate media interest on events are also
available.

Enthusem: This online direct mail
program creates personalized postal mail that seamlessly links recipients
back to online content.

Housing Reservations:
Utilizing Passkey, the Bureau will
assist in building a personalized website for online housing reservations.

Group Max Campaign by Passkey:
The program provides easy and effective communications tools to notify
attendees when housing is open, upcoming deadlines, or highlighting a
specific event during the course of the conference.

Event Registration:
RegLink™ by PassKey allows any online registration or database system to
integrate with the Passkey Lodging System, enabling more efficient event
registration.

Spot
Focus:
A digital and static media marketing company that works exclusively with
convention centers to generate effective targeted marketing.

Voicemail marketing tool designed to help increase attendance, booth sales
and overall communication across multiple platforms.

The Bureau will help track website hits to ensure messaging is effective and
on target.

Eliminates the need to find vendors to purchase conference or event related

The Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau works with all of their
clients to determine which programs and services will be most effective, while

In addition to this promotion, the Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau has
also launched two unprecedented
destination marketing promotions, including a promise to either meet or beat
any RFP an event planner sends the Bureau. Third-party meeting planners with
Helms Briscoe and Conference Direct will receive an instant 10 percent
commission upfront upon confirmation of an event.
The Ontario Convention Center will also provide the group up to a 20
percent rebate to the master account if the event is confirmed and actualized in
2010.
