Event Planners See Green with Newest Incentives
From Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau
Two aggressive destination marketing promotions restore budgets with instant
money
Ontario, CA, Feb. 2, 2010
– All event and meeting planners who have not finalized 2010 event locations and
venues have an unprecedented opportunity before them:
Send a RFP to the
Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau,
and it will either meet or beat pricing on any proposal. Third party meeting
planners with Helms Briscoe and Conference Direct will receive an instant 10%
commission upfront upon the confirmation of an event.
"We know planners are expected to generate the highest return on their
investment, while maintaining or increasing attendance at their events is
paramount," said Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau CEO and President Bob
Brown. "We have always prided ourselves on helping to secure rates that allow
clients to host events on or under budget – and these promotions achieve just
that."
"The Ontario, Southern California RFP
Challenge!" offers savings on venue and hotel reservations for events that
are confirmed and actualized in 2010. If the event is within the continental
U.S. or Hawaii, planners simply submit the proposal to the Ontario Convention
and Visitors Bureau. The Bureau will work with comparable hotels to either meet
or beat the room rate, dates, meeting space facility and room rate requirements.
In addition, the Ontario Convention Center will provide the group up to a 20
percent rebate to the maser account if the event is confirmed and actualized in
2010.
"Book Now – Get Paid Now!"
offers an immediate 10 percent, upfront commission to Helms Briscoe and
Conference Direct planners who book meetings or events between now and December
31, 2010. The promotion also includes: one per 25 complimentary policy and 50
percent attrition. The Ontario Convention Center will provide the group up to a
20 percent rebate to the master account if the event is confirmed and actualized
in 2010.
"The Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau is committed to helping event
planners reduce what matters to them most: the bottom line," said Brown.
"Never before have event planners had to be so focused on increasing
event ROI. OCVB is attuned to this
demand, and prepared to partner with them as a budget management partner."
The Bureau is also rolling out an
event-marketing program
designed to assist meeting and event planners market their events more
effectively, while also maximizing their budgets.
The program is essentially a 12-item a la carte menu from which the
meeting or event planner can customize an event marketing program to fit their
needs.
